SSCC First Member Gathering Event, which took place on Monday, June 23, 2014, at the Crown Plaza hotel, was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Switzerland, H.E. Mrs. Snezana Jankovic and the Deputy of the Swiss Embassy in Belgrade, Mr. Jean-Luc Oesch, gathering approximately 60 representatives of the Swiss-Serbian business community.
On this occasion, the representatives of the seven Founding Members of the Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which are Nestle, Holcim, SIKA, SGS, Sicpa, Roche and Ringier Axel Springer, presented the activities of their companies in Serbia as well as the Swiss values they promote throughout their scope of work. For example, Mrs. Ana Govedarica, General Manager of the company “Roche”, stressed out the importance of innovating and investing in research and development, in order to secure a more successful future. Also, Mr. Claudiu Soare, CEO of the company “Holcim”, mentioned integrity, compliance, corporate social responsibility and business ethics as some of the crucial values that “Holcim” promotes and implements in its everyday operations.
Finally, Ms. Ana Grujovic, SSCC Executive Director, informed the participants that the number of SSCC member-companies has significantly grown, naming companies, such as “Novartis”, “Petite Genève Petrovic”, “Star Import”, and “Teknoxgroup Srbija”, among the first new members. She briefly presented SSCC history, organizational structure, core activities and services.
After that, Ms. Grujovic announced the business mission to Switzerland, scheduled for September 2014, intended to establishing first contacts with Swiss institutional partners, including “Economiesuisse”, “Global Enterprise Switzerland” and the “Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Central Europe”. Also, the official website of the Association will be launched in the same month.
