On November 17, 2015, SSCC visited one of its member companies, ”OMYA Vencac doo” in Arandjelovac. Omya Venčac, is the leading supplier of industrial minerals based on calcium carbonate of very high level of purity and brightness in Serbia.
The company, with production plant in Arandjelovac, grinds the industrial minerals which are provided from its own mines and offers large scale of products, that have broad range of use in various industries, mainly in paints , plastic, paper, food and construction industry.
On this occasion, SSCC members had an opportunity to learn more about OMYA’s business activities, to visit the production site and discover OMYA’s contribution to the local community development. Our guest of honor was Mrs. Pauline Menthonnex Gacaferri, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland to the Republic of Serbia. The host of this visit, Mr. Mihailo Hadzistevic, Sales Director Serbia of OMYA Vencac doo, welcomed us in Arandjelovac and presented company’s scope of work in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Also, he informed participants about the possibility of renting an industrial space close to OMYA’s factory, which is suitable for calcium carbonate production.
The visit was followed by a business lunch at the local restaurant “Tarpoš”, hosted by Mr. Hadzistevic.
