VISITING ABB BULGARIA, Sevlievo Branch

For the third consecutive time, the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce (BSCC) held its Annual partnership forum. The theme was “Innovative Swiss Management Practices in Bulgaria” and partners were ABB Group, ABB Bulgaria – Sevlievo Branch and Sevlievo XXI Century Business Association. The event took place on 20.06.2019 in the production [lant of ABB Bulgaria – Sevlievo Branch. The forum was held with the support of UniCredit Bulbank.

The forum was opened by Giuseppe Rousso, Executive Director of ABB Bulgaria, Sevlievo Branch, who presented the company’s development over the years to this day.

H.E. Muriel Berset Kohen, Ambassador of the Confederation of Switzerland to Bulgaria and the Chairman of the Management Board of the Bulgarian State Railways, Mr. Bonny Bonev, welcomed all participants and official guests of the event. Mayor of the Municipality of Sevlievo Dr. Ivan Ivanov, mayor of Sevlievo Municipality, thanked the participants in the forum and reminded that Sevlievo is one of the best places for business development in Bulgaria.

The Forum was attended by representatives of BSSC members, companies from the BSCC Partnership Platform, companies participating in the DOMINO project for the implementation of the dual training in Bulgaria based on the Swiss model, members and partners of “Sevlievo XXI Century” Association, as well as colleagues from the Swiss – Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

The hosts from ABB Bulgaria – Sevlievo Branch, provided an opportunity for all participants to get acquainted with the production process and organization of work on site. Further discussions and opportunity to create contacts continued during the networking cocktail at Sevlievo Plaza Hotel.

This Forum is an event that builds on the 2016 Business and Innovation Forum in Sofia Tech Park (during the official visit to the State Secretary for Economic Affairs of Switzerland, Mrs. Marie-Gabriel Inaiyen-Fleish, accompanied by the Swiss Business Delegation); the business event in 2017, organized in Plovdiv (“Building partnerships with Swiss companies”); and the Business Forum in 2018, organized by BSCC in cooperation with Stara Zagora Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Promoting Business Partnerships with Switzerland).
