The investments in the Startup Ecosystem in Switzerland by Venture Capitalists are CHF 4bn/Year (2022) and showing good growth. Zurich still leads the way in the invested amounts and Lausanne is a close second. Those two together (both cities have great technical universities) make up 2⁄3 of all the invested capital in the Swiss Startup Ecosystem. Switzerland overall remains a great breeding ground for Biotech Startups.
Also, Mr. Philippe Frey, Strategy Director at ANYbotics and David Hug, representing Ringier Digital Ventures and Marcau Partners, spoke about artificial intelligence, robotics and anybotics. A modern type of working force, ANYmal, autonomous mobile robots, were introduced as a new way of scalable inspections enabling advanced inspections with AI-based analytics for accurate and consistent reporting as well as reduced exposure of staff to hazardous environments through remote monitoring.
