Members of the Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce visited the ”Science Technology Park STP Belgrade” on March 31, 2017. STP was established with the aim to create a favorable environment for developing links between industry and universities and research organizations and stimulate technology development, innovation commercialization and development of the knowledge-based economy. STP Belgrade is established with the support of the Project Science and Technology Park on Zvezdara – the new export instrument of Serbia, supported by the Swiss Government, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO. The technopark was inaugurated by the Swiss Federal Councillor Johann Schneider-Ammann in 2015 and has become a major player in the innovation ecosystem. Today, STP is home to 47 companies, including two Swiss companies.
Participants were welcomed by Mrs. Gordana Danilovic Grkovic, STP Director, Mr. Gerhard Brügger, Deputy Ambassador and Counsellor at the Swiss Embassy in Serbia and Montenegro, and Mrs. Yana Mikhailova, SSCC President. Mrs. Jelena Petrovic, Business support, STP service centre, presented the Science Technology Park: its model and services. Also, several companies located in STP presented their activities: ”Interventure”, ”Strawberry”, ”Digital Worx”, ”Festo” and others.
