THE CONFERENCE “GREEN ENERGY TRANSITION”

In cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia, the Belgian-Serbian Business Association, and the Croatian Business Club organized the “Green Energy Transition” conference. The event was held at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce on April 19 and gathered more than 70 representatives of member companies.

Mihailo Vesovic (PKS), Nikolaos Sliousaregko (HBA), Ana Govedarica, (SSCC), Marija Radulovic (HPK) and Nevena Đukić (BSBA) addressed the attendees.

On this occasion, Ana Raičević, secretary of the Association for the Metal and Electrical Industry of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, spoke to about the key issues, obligations and deadlines of CBAM payers during the transition period in the context of climate measures that will prevent the risk of carbon leakage and support the EU’s increased ambition to mitigating climate change.

Aleksandar Petković, Director of the Sector for Project Management from the Serbian Electricity Exchange (SEEPEX) presented the topic of participation of commercial customers in the electricity market, benefits and the operation of the exchange.

After the presentations and discussion, a cocktail party was organized for all participants, an opportunity for continued discussion and networking among members of four bilateral business associations and the Serbian chamber of commerce.
