The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the United Nations Development Programme, Municipality of Surdulica and the Coca Cola Company hosted an event to present the results of the “Vlasina Lake Ecotourism Promotion and Environment Protection” project at the Palace of Serbia. The purpose of the project is to advance local economic development in the boundaries of the protected area of Vlasina.
The results of the project implemented at Vlasina Lake were presented and discussed at the presentation included the plans for advancing model of public-private cooperation to other protected areas in Serbia.
Participants at the event included representatives of the following companies and organizations: the Coca-Cola Company, NESTLE, SGS, ProCredit Bank, ERSTE Bank, Siemens, Hemofarm, GEOX, VIP Mobile, Telenor, Victoria Group, MK Group, Delta Foundation, Bambi Banat, JP Srbijasume, Swiss Serbian Chamber of Commerce, WWF, Portal “Who is Responsible”, Association of Protected Areas and National Parks of Serbia NAPS, Faculty of Economics and Municipality of Surdulica.
UNDP will follow up with the private sector and present plans for period 2015-2020 in the field of corporate social responsibility and local economic development
