The Kopaonik Business Forum, organized by the Serbian Association of Economists and Serbian Association of Corporate Directors, was held from March 04-07, 2018 at the Kopaonik Convention Center. The Forum, entitled ’’Beyond Expansionary Austerity’’ presented an opportunity to discuss the most pressing economic and social issues in Serbia and gathered over 1,200 participants, including eminent professors, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, businessmen, domestic and foreign investors, and representatives of international organizations. In terms of its relevance and impact, the Kopaonik Business Forum has been recognized as “Serbian Davos”.
In her closing remarks, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said that the country’s priorities were digitisation, continuation of the work on e-Government and creation of a business environment that will enable further growth, as well as further work on, and commitment to, European integration. ” An investment-based economy is no longer sufficient for Serbia – it needs an innovation-based economy”, PM Ana Brnabic said Wednesday.
During the KBF, SSCC organized a networking event on Tuesday, March 06, 2018. In her welcoming speech, Mrs. Ana Govedarica, SSCC Vice-President, welcomed the guests and briefly presented SSCC’s scope of work and activities. The cocktail gathered approx. 20 participants of the Swiss-Serbian business community.
